As a prospective student, it’s important that you become familiar with the application times and deadlines for most universities around the world. Most schools some times refuse students admission simply because they received their application for admission late. However, to ensure that your application gets to your school on time, you need to familiarize yourself with the application deadline and endeavor to send your application early. In today’s post, I will be talking about the application times and deadlines in some countries of Europe namely; Netherlands, France, Finland and Sweden. So sit back and enjoy!
Netherlands
In Netherlands, the application deadline varies and depends on the study program. However, you will need to apply for studies months in advance before the academic semester starts. For example, the winter semester starts in the first week of September and the summer semester in February. So you will need to send your application as early as possible.
France
The French academic year starts on first October and ends on 30 June. The first semester runs from early October through late January and the second semester starts from early February to late May. However, if you want to study in France, you need to send your application around January.
Finland
In Finland, admission into Universities starts around November and runs through February – April depending on the study program. Please check your school’s website for a specific admission time and deadline. For Polytechnics, the usual application period starts approximately 6 months in advance of the beginning of the program. For example, if your program starts in autumn, the deadlines will most likely be by February.
Sweden
For courses taught in English language, the following application times apply for Swedish Universities
